Kleenex Handtowels: Your Turn

| Mom Central Canada sent me a batch of these new Kleenex handtowels last week and I am supposed to use them and get back to the company about them next week. But they’ve prompted debate in my house. See I personally kind of like them, because cold and flu season is endless here and these throw-aways are simply more sanitary than regular hand towels. The box is cute and decorative anf suits the room and I don’t feel they are any worse than paper handtowels in restrooms. They are thicker and nicer and one sheet does the job. Also I am a Mom that likes to have options. |

| But my husband says they are simply more things to throw away and I can kind of see his point. Also I have met many bloggers in the last two months and Mommies these days are savvier than ever and informed and frugal and incredibly concerned about the environment. So I want to put the question to you my gracious and smart readers _ is this a product that you would use? What do you think? I really like the idea of them for the same reasons as you. With cold and flu season they would cut down my laundry (I wash towels everyday)and hopefully stop the spread of germs. That said they don’t appeal to the frugal side of me and I don’t think I would buy them for that reason alone. I am however switching back to moist towlettes in stead of washcloths this cold and flu season money be dammed. LOL.

Causing confusion around here too. Thanks to you I’m Mom Central connected and got a box of these as well. I like that they are easy to use and the thickness of them, but I do think they are very wasteful. Never mind what Richard thinks, I’m split down the middle as to whether these towels are good or bad.

I have them in my house, and I love them. I am Gluten free, and use only throw away towels on my main floor. Cross contamination of foods that both my son and I are alergic to is very tightly controlled, infact I only use papertowels in my kitchen too. You never know what visitors are alergic to, and god forbid they touch a towel in my kitchen or bathroom that has been touched by someone else, and then its a trip to the hospital! My mum and grandma are anaphalactic to shellfish, and my son to peanuts, and I am GF, along with some other food alergies…. I am pretty relaxed about most things, but this is one where we have all learned to be strict.
