No question this one is the runaway hit of the season. My Aunt Pat bought a fabulous Rainbow Loom
for my girls way back in August when they had a sleepover at her new house. Ever since then the Rainbow Loom
has been all I read about or see. You can count the Moms of tweens at centergy class just by looking at their wrists for the colourful bracelets.
So what’s the Rainbow Loom all about?
It’s simply a cool plastic loom on which you wrap colourful elastics and design various fancy bracelets, necklaces, rings and ornaments. There is no end to what you can do with the loom. There are simple loop bracelets to start with and, as you get more accomplished at the weaving you can build more intricate fishtail bracelets or necklaces. There are charms you can buy to add on and there are endless tutorials on Youtube showing you how to make some incredibly neat patterns.
This is my favourite craft toy I have seen in years. Some craft kits are too hard for the age level. But these are as easy, or as hard as you want them to be really. The Rainbow Loom doesn’t change, but the pattern does. Even teens can enjoy making these. I love that my 12-year-old takes hers to school and makes bracelets at recess with all her friends. Why not? Even I enjoy making the rainbow elastic band bracelets. I am typically sporting several because the girls keep making them for me.
Rainbow Loom is available at Mastermind and various other retailers like Amazon. Click any of the links in this post to order Rainbow Loom

I was not paid to post this, but I received some samples to use. My opinion is 100 % my own. I like this for anyone over seven, but best for 9 and up. It’s affordable – between $20 and $25 for the loom. The replacement packets of elastic bands are $3.99 to $4.99.
