    30-Day Drawing Challenge to Enjoy

    March 24, 2021 / No Comments

I love a good challenge these days. In fact, I just signed up for another yoga challenge starting April 1st with Kassandra. So, that made me think that perhaps readers would enjoy a drawing challenge again. Post contains affiliate links as a service to readers. I receive a small commission from qualifying purchases. Why a Challenge? Last summer, I ran a children’s summer drawing challenge. That kind of family friendly fun activity is usually a hit for a lot of reasons. I mean last summer we were all looking for fun things to keep kids occupied. So, drawing challenges and building challenges are a simple creative activity that you can…

My Summer Drawing Challenge for Kids

    May 7, 2020 /

It’s a commonly known fact, in my house anyways, that I am surrounded by artistic children. I actually love their creativity. While I am creative, I am not, generally speaking, artistic. Right now, as I am finishing this summer drawing challenge post, my daughter is making origami creatures nearby. That’s a good thing right now since there’s nothing much else to do to occupy their time during a pandemic. But, if someone asked me to draw a person I’d be hard pressed to do one that resembled…

Embracing Art with DK Canada #Giveaway #ad

    November 6, 2017 /

Embracing art is a great way to expand our children’s horizons. The arts are an important part of mental stimulation. Participating in the arts or just appreciating them activates different parts of the brain from other forms of education interaction, and it’s really quite beautiful. My oldest daughter is an artist, and she’s always buried in either her sketch pad or an art book. She’s been taking a lot of art courses, so I thought a few books from DK Canada would encourage her love of art and make embracing art a continued part of her daily life. Embracing Art with Great Books from DK Canada If you’ve read my…

Getting on Track with Sharpie and Paper Mate #SpreadJoy #Giveaway

    August 16, 2017 /

I have partnered with YMC and Sharpie/Paper Mate and have received compensation for this post. All opinions in the post are my own. Getting on track for the school year is especially important when the kids hit junior high and high school. Every year is important, but it seems like time is starting to run out when your kids hit high school. Grades, volunteering, extracurriculars – are all incredibly important for college and university admission. This year it’s crucial the kids have everything they need to stay on task. Sharpie and Paper Mate offer tools that make getting on track and staying on track easy.   Getting on Track with Team Payton…
