6 Best Amusement Parks in Ontario
Whether you live here, or are just visiting, Ontario has some of the best amusement parks around. You can enjoy everything from a watery indoor park to a fairy tale land based on your childhood stories. How can you choose from such a variety? This list of the 5 best amusement parks in Ontario can help!
Some of the Best Amusement Parks inĀ Ontario
Ontario has some of the best amusement parks in the country. What’s amazing is the variety of parks all located within one province. If you can’t find an amusement park that you love, then you don’t love amusement parks. š
Canada’s Wonderland
Just outside Toronto, Canada’s Wonderland has it all. From watersides to concerts and amazing heart-stopping roller coasters this is the place to visit. But get there in the summer months because the water slides are only open in the summer and they are amazing. We have been a couple of times and it is always awesome.
Great Wolf Lodge, Ontario (Niagara Falls)
Great Wolf Lodge is one of the biggest family draws in the area. It is absolutely one of the best amusement parks out there. Their massive, 84-degree indoor park has all sorts of family water fun, from jaw-dropping, stomach-flipping slides to zero-depth entry playgrounds for little ones to get wet and stay safe. In addition to the water works, Great Wolf Lodge also has a variety of other family fun resort activities including their enormous Northern Lights Arcade and MagiQuest, a live-action adventure game which transforms the resort into a magical journey.
Storybook Gardens
Want a little magic in your park? Then Storybook Gardens is the one of the best amusement parks in Ontario for you. This park is open year round, and features attractions such as a 250 metre skating trail winding through Storybook Valley. On the trail, you’ll pass by story time favorites like Humpty Dumpty, the old woman’s shoe, and the Wind and the Willow display. It’s refrigerated from below so you can skate the trail year round. There’s also a great splash pad we have enjoyed many years in a row and a pirate’s area too. Located in my hometown, we have visited often over the years. I used to visit as a kid too.
Santa’s Village Family Entertainment Park
Santa’s Village makes my list of the best amusement parks in Ontario because of its sheer size. It’s actually three parks and one campground combined on a massive 60 acre expanse – Santa’s Village, Sportsland, and Zip Lines & Aerial Park.
Santa’s Village brings all the wonder and joy of Christmas to everyone June through September. This Christmas in summer park features miniature train tours, Santa’s Summer Sleigh Jet Boat, Santa’s Roller Coaster Sleigh Ride, and more.
At Sportsland, your family can enjoy go-karts, a bungee trampoline, laser tag, batting cages, and arcade, mini-golf, and much more. It’s great summer fun for the whole family.
Aerial Park lets you experience nature from high in the trees. Whether you make it part of your complete package stay at Santa’s Village or just a quick adrenaline filled tour, it’s a great way to experience Ontario.
Bingemans FunworX with Playdium Gaming Centre
FunworX is an indoor play facility for the entire family, and it’s open year round. This indoor complex has a wide variety of fun activities to choose from including Ballocity, a three-level play structure, ropes course, rock climbing, and Playdium. As the name implies, Playdium is huge play stadium with a large selection of redemption and arcade games including some of the most recent video games on the market. Nearby in the summer months there is also a camping area, and an outdoor waterpark with splash pad. We also have been here to Bingemans (Kitchener, Ontario)
Legoland Discovery Center, Toronto
Last, but definitely not least, on my list of the top 6 amusement parks in Ontario is Legoland. This large indoor facility is a kid’s dream come true. It features a variety of rides, a 4D cinema, Master model Builder workshops, Toronto’s iconic attractions made entirely from Legos, and more. It offers birthday parties too. We have yet to get to Legoland but I know my kids would love it even still.
Find the Best Amusement Park for You
If you’re travelling to Ontario, be sure to take advantage of these wonderful amusement parks. If you live in Ontario, why haven’t you been yet? These are the absolute best amusement parks that Ontario has to offer, and they all offer something for everyone

There was a Santa’s Village in Wisconsin Dells that we use to go to when I was a kids way back when and it was so much fun. Looks like there is plenty to do in Ontario and quite a variety. Something for everyone.

I’ve heard so many great things about Great Wolf Lodge. They finally put one here in Massachusetts and I know a few people who’ve gone and say it’s fantastic.

Ontario is now going on the travel list! I think I’d pick the Storybook park, but I’m sure the boys would want Legoland first.
