As some of the readers here already know, we are getting ready to move. The recommendation way back in September was to paint the hall. So husband removed the wallpaper and then we hired a painter to come in and freshen the house up. The painting is almost done. We still need trim work. Now the tricky part – keeping it free of marks and kid’s fingerprints until we sell it.

We are packing lots of boxes and trying to live a regular semblance of family life. We now have a storage space and we are transferring clutter (toys, books, photos etc.) to a storage locker. Our kitchen has been the least appealing feature of our cozy home for years now. When we moved in we knew the kitchen needed upgrading, or a renovation. The kitchen was small, but so were we. My Mom had a lot of collections. She collected dolls and angels and photos. When she passed away recently, many of her treasures came to me. There are a few special things I want to keep for my kids.
