Did You Know?
Even though there are no words in this Christmas tree I-Spy game, children can still be involved and actively acquiring more language skills. Think about it this way: they need to describe each tree with adjectives and colours and shapes in order to figure out which one is where. So, even though they think they are playing a game, they are also passively learning something.
How to Do an I-Spy Game
This Christmas I-Spy Game is good for any age. Kids simply have to be able to find the various trees and write the number that they count in the boxes on the second page. You don’t even have to be able too read yet. Good for preschoolers and even toddlers if they can sit still long enough to do this.
Scan the page for each type of tree and write the number into the box. Easy. Peasy. I love the cute snow globe. It reminds me that I need to get my Christmas tree up soon!
There are dozens of free games and printables here on my site and on Pinterest too. I also offer numerous Christmas activities and crafts here regularly. This year, I have stepped that up a bit with my Christmas Scavenger Hunt and More. Check them out now.
