March Break Madness

Don’t be sad to be in town this March break, there is so much to do in and around the London area, that I am having trouble picking out the best events to hit with the kids on the cheap, of course. I aim to spend less than $100 all week on activities for March break and I am betting this thriftymomma can do it.

First off March Break means Sugar bush. There are several around this area.
The Kinsmen Fanshawe Sugar Bush is fun with guided tours and pancakes. They have a hotline to check conditions and etc. 519-461-1073
Also rumour has it this one is a huge hit: Springwater Maple Syrup Festival:
519-773-9037.

Free kid meals all over town.
East side Mario’s offers free kid meals with each adult entree.
Tony Roma has the same offer.
Golden Griddle has free kid’s meals after 3 pm. Every day! Not just on March Break

London’s Masonville Mall has some incredible fun for families starting with Treehouse’s Fifi and the Flowertots on Monday. All events occur near Silver City. 12 to 2 p.m.
On Tuesday: 11:30 and 1:30 Smudge Fundaes Live Show.
On Wednesday Glenn Ottaway is doing a magic show.
On Thursday there is a Princess and Superhero meet and great 1:30 to 3 p.m.
On Friday a juggler visits the mall. 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

All of the London library branches offer a variety of programs.
The Beacock branch has fun Aikido workshops on Wednesday. Call branch to register.
Also Beacock has cartooning on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. age 8-12.

The Central branch is doing Flat Stanley’s March Break adventure. I love that guy. Visit the downtown branch and pick up your own Flat Stanley and then take him with you documenting his week long adventure. Bring him back on Friday for a celebration.

London Regional Children’s Museum has Robert Munsch display right now and Mad Science is a highlight on Friday at 1 p.m.

As well don’t forget to get your tickets to Original Kids shows at Wolf Performance Hall
Jungle Book and Camp Rock on Now!!! All week long both shows.
