Mespil Hotel Dublin – The Perfect Base for Your Dublin Trip

Mespil Hotel Dublin makes the perfect home base for your trip to Dublin. I recently took a trip to Ireland to attend TBEX in Killarney. Right after my stay in Killarney I had a media trip to Dublin. My first ever visit to Ireland was magical and memorable and Dublin left a dramatic impression on me. During my four days in the city I stayed at Mespil Hotel Dublin, a central location combining great service with comfort and style for an experience that was I would recommend to anyone passing through Dublin.

Mespil Hotel Dublin – Where Style Meets Comfort

Situated right on the Grand canal, this hotel is all about the location. A stroll along the Grand Canal is a beautiful way to spend an hour or two. The hotel is also within walking distance of St Stephens Green and it’s in easy reach of many other wonderful attractions and hot spots Dublin has to offer.

When I stepped into the lobby of the 4 star beauty, I was immediately struck by its immaculate appearance. With clean lines and modern furniture and warm lamp lighting, Mespil Hotel Dublin expertly combines style with comfort. And if you’ve traveled even a little, you know that is sometimes hard to find.

The staff was attentive and helpful, and check in was easy. The desk clerk was incredibly friendly, and the staff was responsive when I requested or needed anything. When I stepped into my room, I found the same stylish, yet comfortable and cozy feel that the lobby had. Beds with luxurious sheets and toppers and comfortable high style seating in the rooms made for a wonderful place to relax after a long day of exploring the city.

And believe me those days were long! You might think travel writing is pretty posh. And it is awesome. I am the first to admit that. But it is also exhausting. We were up and on the bus by 9 every day and many times we didn’t return until 10 or 11 p.m. For sure the group of travel writers I was with managed to see almost everything possible, but we were grateful for a nice spot to relax at end of day.

Fine Dining, Fitness, and More

It can be hard to stay fit when you travel. But an increasing number of hotels and resorts have fitness options. Mespil Hotel Dublin has a fitness suite – SUITE not area – so use it when you are there if you want to maintain that routine. The Hotel also offers an amazing dining experience with The Lounge and Lock Four.

The Lounge is a modern, stylish bar perfect for relaxing with a coffee, cocktail, or a tasty treat. I was touring with a group of writers while in Dublin, as I mentioned above, and we had an extremely busy itinerary with several restaurant stops, so we never had dinner at the Mespil Dublin, but we did have breakfast here every day. FYI, many great restaurants are within walking distance.

Lock Four inside the Mespil is a popular spot with both guests and Dublin locals. It features continental, or full Irish breakfast options. We each had breakfast here. It was definitely convenient and relaxing before we started each day.  Lock Four also offers dining options for lunch or dinner.

Mespil Hotel Dublin for Your Next Ireland Adventure

I had such an amazing time in Ireland, and Dublin was incredible. The Mespil Hotel Dublin was a great base for the visit to Dublin. Days were extremely busy so basically I woke up, ate breakfast and raced out the door returning late at night, then collapsing into bed. The Mespil Hotel Dublin was quiet, stylish and in a great location for all of our adventures. My room looked out on the street and canal, but I had no issue with noise. If you’re planning a trip to the Dublin area, I highly encourage you to check out Mespil Hotel Dublin.

I was a guest of Failte Ireland and received transportation, accommodations and amenities as well as meals. My opinion is all my own and it is also truthful.
