Are Guinea Pigs Good Pets? – Meet Skittles
We’ve had guinea pigs since Payton was seven. She got Cottonball for her seventh birthday. Cottonball lived four years at least, which is the life expectancy of a guinea pig ( 3 to 5 years). She was a super sweet easy going guinea pig. She went to school for a show and tell moment one time and was a big hit there. When Cottonball passed away and many, many, tears were shed, we took a couple of weeks before we got Hope and Buttercup. Buttercup lived just long enough for us to realize the pet store had made an error and given us a boy and a girl guinea pig.…

Little Turkeys Penne With Cheese #GayleaMom
I hate to tell you this. Maybe it’s just my kids. Maybe it’s just my house. But my littles used to eat amazingly well. They were rockstars at vegetables and dinner and lunch. I rarely worried. Then they hit double digits, ten and up, and they developed sudden fussiness. It’s infuriating! I make a great dinner and they say – “Um, could I please just make a peanut butter sandwich?” Or “Too spicy!” My one child exists on peanut butter and pizza. Not together of course. Occasionally I stumble upon a recipe the kids love that keeps us all happy at dinner. This year I have also experimented with a…

Juvenile Arthritis – What it Is and What it Does #health
This is the ankle that started it all for us. One of our daughters has had a limp for months and we’ve taken her to the doctor several times. We’ve determined nothing is broken or sprained. So we went to the hospital and had tests run last month. Numerous X-Rays showed nothing broken at all. But she limps and it isn’t getting better. So we are now moving on to more tests. Juvenile arthritis is one diagnosis specialists are looking at. This month we return to see if high doses of anti-inflammatory medicine have made a difference. This is what I have learned while we wait. Juvenile Arthritis –…
