Great Workout Clothes by TASC Performance

    April 27, 2016 /

I never have enough workout clothes. I love my yoga pants, but when you get a sweat happening in a crazy cardio fitness class, full length pants are way too much. I don’t want to feel like I’m going to pass out because I wear too much clothing to the gym and frankly I don’t want to worry about workout clothes when I am in the middle of a new fitness class, or when I am pushing my limits. I like a variety of options in workout clothes. That’s why I am enjoying Tasc Performance Wear right now. TASC Performance wear is super soft partly because it’s made of bamboo.…

Five Winter Fashion Trends to Embrace – Looking Fabulous Even With Bladder Problems #LBL #ad

    December 10, 2015 /

I’ve been discussing LBL and various facets of it for a few articles now. This is part 3, the final portion of a series about light bladder leakage, a medical issue that impacts far too many women. In the first post about LBL I talked about travel strategies for women with LBL and ways to embrace travelling with support and a few easy travel tips. In November I talked to author and positive living expert Barbara Hannah Grufferman about ways to discuss LBL with a loved one. Today I’m tackling fashion because it’s the season to get dressed up and 2016 is your year so don’t hide, own your style! The good…

Let It Snow – Baffin Boots Has You Covered

    December 1, 2015 /

If there’s one predictable thing about the winter in Canada, it’s that there will be snow. It might not be a white Christmas. In fact I can count on my one hand the number of times in the last decade that we have had a white Christmas. But by February when the snow is flying and you start to wonder if it will ever let up, you better have a reliable pair of Baffin Boots on hand. In fact here’s my little public service message to you. Go ahead and buy two pairs of boots this year for each of your kids. Go on. Trust me. I guarantee one of your kids…

Christina Knows Best – On Maternity Wear and What Not to Do

    August 7, 2015 /

Alrighty Christina is getting so close to having this baby girl it’s officially super exciting! I can’t wait for everyone to meet her. But in the meantime she’s talking about maternity wear. Follow her advice. It just makes sense. Save money with maternity wear? Um, yes please because babies are expensive and by the way so are teenagers. Just saying. Have you seen Christina’s first video for Thrifty Momma’s Tips? Here it is again in case you want something else to watch because maternity wear is fabulous and all but Christina makes me laugh out loud at this review of a Diono changer Do you have any maternity wear thoughts or…

Limeapple has a fabulous range of girl’s athletic clothing that is perfect for kids like mine. I have really active girls who participate in half a dozen sports. Cute Affordable Glasses OnLine at Glasses Shop

    March 1, 2015 /

I can’t seem to stock enough sunglasses around here. First of all this is a house largely full of girls. Second of all, this is a house where apparently all the girls think what’s mine is also theirs and so on. If you live with tweens or teens, you probably know what I mean. Anyways, these cute fashionable and affordable sunglasses arrived a few days ago from GlassesShop.com and so I am happily restocked with sunglasses again. I’ m reasonably certain I can keep these ones safe until summer, but that said I might need to lock them away until the sun appears again.   GlassesShop.com has several lines of…

Limeapple Active Girls Clothing for Teens and Tweens Who Play Hard.

    December 20, 2014 /

Active girls clothing makes a huge difference to sporty girls on the go. Ainsley is wearing one of the Limeapple active T-Shirts under her karate uniform. The material is soft and wicks away moisture (important for sporty tweens.) Have you met my sporty girls? Well, this one is a tween crime fighter. In her head anyways. Just kidding. She is a junior black belt. So is my older daughter. Together the dynamic duo dance, sing, act, ride horses, kick butt at martial arts and sparring and they also swim and run track. Occasionally they play soccer and do diving lessons and play street hockey too. My girls are extremely active…

Limeapple Girls Clothing: Twelve Days of Christmas Sale

    December 5, 2014 /

Limeapple makes the cutest athletic clothing and girl’s fashions Today my daughter’s school held a cabaret concert. My youngest joined the choir this year which is a big deal because she’s never been interested in singing or music. She’s the girl who runs and swims, rides horses and dives, and kicks and does martial arts. She’s my sporty girl, always on the move, so forgive me if we were shocked, but pleasantly so when we she signed up for choir. Choir? Yes, choir. And when she managed to stick with it, we were quietly supportive. Last year music was a big challenge. At the end of the day music was…
