Dirt Devil Reach Max Plus 3-in-1 makes vacuuming easier and lighter too. I’m not in to vacuuming. Not even a little bit. Truthfully, I’m not into a lot of domestic chores. I’d rather dust than do the vacuuming, and we all know how much more difficult that is. I think it’s because of all the cord hassle and having to lug the thing around. It gets annoying. In fact the weight of some heavy vacuums is completely a hassle. These days, vacuuming is less horrible for me now that I’m using the Dirt Devil Reach Max Plus 3-in-1. Dirt Devil…

Decorate your home with canvas prints! No, I don’t mean paintings. I mean photo canvas prints. They’re an excellent way to commemorate family memories without the same old boring frame on the wall or 8″x10″ on the counter. With photo canvas prints, you can decorate your home with something unique. They’re quite attractive, with a photo quality image and that great canvas texture we all know and love. Decorate Your Home with Stylish Prints I have a few photo canvas prints in my home. They’ve become my simple way to add photographs to my walls or table tops and I like…

Caribou Cabin is a new line of chalk, cork, pin, and whiteboards from one of my favorite companies, Posterjack. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I’ve used Posterjack products in the past, and I love them. Now, I’ve come back to them again to use one of their Caribou Cabin framed whiteboards. These boards look great, and they make adding a bit more organization to your home easy and stylish. These Caribou Cabin framed whiteboards and framed pinboards are also perfect for back to school. That’s exactly why we got one for our daughter.…

Solar cover tips can help you keep your pool warm, clean and efficient. The “tips” part is important. You can’t just go out and snag a solar cover. Well, you can, but you’ll be flying blind. Which means you won’t get as much effect as you would if you knew exactly how to use it. We recently had to get another solar cover. Our last one fell apart in September and we needed a new one to replace it. Thanks to the folks at Pool Supplies Canada, we have a great clean solar cover to keep our pool clean and warm. The…

Baking soda uses are many and varied. It’s a magical inexpensive tool for the home, really, but not everyone knows all of its abilities. In my twenties, I thought baking soda was mostly used in baking, odour removal. In my 30s I started using Arm & Hammer™ Baking Soda for cleaning. But there are many other uses too. Arm & Hammer™ Baking Soda has been helping generations of Canadian families cook and clean for decades. Baking Soda Uses You Probably Never Knew Over the years, the team at Arm & Hammer – with the help of their loyal fans – have come up…

Spring cleaning is a great way to get a fresh start for the season. Seems like over the winter months we accumulate so much stuff. When the weather changes it’s time to give the house a good purge. You might as well clean too. I started reading Spark Joy this week by Marie Kondo, and it has inspired me to start the spring cleaning process too. From getting the dust bunnies out from behind the couches that never get moved to flipping mattresses and changing the sheets, spring cleaning is time to give your home a good purge and clean.…

Do your walls make you proud? If not, then maybe you should do something about that. Late last year I did a fellowship with the UN Foundation’s charitable vaccine advocacy initiative called Shot@Life. We visited Zambia and toured communities, hospitals and clinics and talked to many stakeholders and families about obstacles to getting vaccinations. It was a gruelling visit and a punishing schedule in extremely hot weather. And it was also one of the coolest things I have ever done. When I am 85 and I look back on life I will remember visiting Zambia and I take pride in…

Someone asked me recently what I liked about laundry. I didn’t need to think hard about that because honestly there’s nothing I like about laundry. Nothing at all. Unless someone else does the laundry. Then I love it. I also love it when my clothes are clean and put away and ready to wear. Laundry is expensive and seemingly endless at times. Thank Goodness I have helpers. My husband and daughters help out. In fact my husband does three quarters of the laundry here. I do three quarters of the cooking so that’s fair. And my teens mostly help with the…

Keep it together! That’s something I tell myself quite often. As a mom of two, wife, blogger, social media consultant and avid traveler, I’m often on the go. I’m also occasionally frazzled. I can’t count how many times I’ve lost my keys – both in the house and out in the world – or misplaced my phone. It’s a frantic dash to find those things that I need in a day and yet somehow manage to lose. These days, life is a little easier on me, though. I’ve started using Tile to help me keep it together. Keep it Together…
