Fun Spring Break Recap Activity
Well, Spring Break this year has been full of surprises already. Just a few weeks ago we were all assuming that spring break would be in March as usual. But then it got shifted to April here in Ontario. That was clearly shocking to many people. I’m not sure it matters anymore, I mean not like we are able to travel or go anywhere outside the province. Whether spring break is in March or April seems like a trivial thing after this year that we have had. Dates hardly matter these days. Many of us wake up still and wonder what the heck day it is! Ultimately, what matters most…

Photo Showcase for the Digital Age
This Nixplay photo showcase post was sponsored by Nixplay and I received product in exchange for consideration here. A photo showcase is a great way to show off your favourite memories. From family gatherings and trips to those memorable get-togethers with friends, a photo showcase allows you to share your most cherished memories with anyone who visits your home and always keeps those moments in your heart. There was a time when showcasing my photos meant I had to devote an entire wall to several photos. That’s a great way to do it, but when you run out of walls or if you don’t have a lot of wall space,…

Making Family Memories Through Travel
“The days are long, but the years are short,” That quote by Gretchen Rubin haunts me as a parent. You have no idea how relevant that is until you become a parent and you are staring at a sick infant or a pile of laundry through zombie Mom eyes one moment, followed by the realization that your baby is now graduating from high school but a beat later. Time defies all logic when you are a parent. This is a little piece of why I travel with my family. Making family memories is something that’s especially important these days. I remember a time when I thought my kids would never…

Capture Special Moments with Posterjack #Giveaways
I have always been a gigantic fan of photos. Maybe most Moms are, but I recall the first year I received a Kodak camera as a gift for Christmas. I think I was actually still a tween at that stage and cameras still used those disposable flash bulbs. I tried to explain this process to one of my daughters the other day. Back in my teens, I remember having to take the actual film cartridge out of the film and drop it at Blacks, or Shoppers Drug Mart. Then you’d wait a week or longer sometimes for your memories to solidify on paper. It was not a cheap process, but…

Stratford Traveling Display of Heroes and Medals #travel #WordlessWednesday
We were in Stratford a few weeks ago now to see The Diary of Anne Frank. After the play we realized there was a traveling exhibit of medals and heroes in Canada. So we naturally went in to see what was inside. The kids found this and I found some compelling information that was educational about various Canadian medals and what they mean. It was a great afternoon. By the way did you know that those hats are made of real bear fur? I asked. This is a Wordless Wednesday post.

Basketball #WordlessWednesday #Linky
I am the proud owner of a jock. It’s true. Never met a sport she didn’t like. No, strike that. Love. Straight As in phys ed all of her young life. Which makes me laugh because my phys ed marks were pretty much the only ones that were never As. So I signed her up for basketball. And she loves it. I enjoy watching her play sometimes. Mostly I just enjoy seeing her do something she is good at that she also loves. My jock. This is a Wordless Wednesday post. Go ahead and link up and don’t forget to leave me a comment.
