Encompassing more than 70,000 acres spread out over the counties of Wakulla, Jefferson, and Taylor, there is no shortage of wildlife and gorgeous scenery. St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge includes coastal marshes, islands, tidal creeks, and estuaries of seven north Florida rivers.

While you’re there, take a detour over to the St. Marks Lighthouse, a historical lighthouse completed in 1831 and still in use today to aid vessels on the Apalachee Bay.
