Cute Affordable Glasses OnLine at Glasses Shop
I can’t seem to stock enough sunglasses around here. First of all this is a house largely full of girls. Second of all, this is a house where apparently all the girls think what’s mine is also theirs and so on. If you live with tweens or teens, you probably know what I mean. Anyways, these cute fashionable and affordable sunglasses arrived a few days ago from GlassesShop.com and so I am happily restocked with sunglasses again. I’ m reasonably certain I can keep these ones safe until summer, but that said I might need to lock them away until the sun appears again. GlassesShop.com has several lines of…

Disney on Ice Worlds of Fantasy #Giveaway #ldnont
It’s that time of year again!! Disney on Ice is coming here again! Alright I promise that’s the end of the rhyming for this post. Nothing makes me happier than a mid-winter break at Budweiser Gardens to see Disney On Ice. We attend almost every year and have been doing so since the girls were very small. I will never ever forget the look of awe on Payton’s face the first time I took her to see the amazing skating show. She was a bit over two years old and she was mesmerized by all the glorious activity. As magical as it is to see the skaters tell a story…

New Feature Tuesday Travel Photo #linky – Leaving Tampa
I don’t know if I can even put into words how much I love active family travel. We just returned from a New Year’s cruise. It was our first cruise ever and after a week at sea I am slowly getting my land legs back. My heart is still warm from the time spent with family and the many awesome excursions we did together. Swimming with stingrays on a reef just along the coast of Belize rocked. Snorkelling alongside my husband and daughters while stingrays, looking prehistoric and unfazed by our presence, swam just beneath us was something we all needed more than I can ever explain. This winter and…

Canopy River Tours in Puerto Vallarta #travel
Looking for a fun adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico? Canopy River Tours is the perfect way to spend a day exploring rain forest from above. If the flip flops fall off, they will most definitely plummet 600 feet to their demise in the Sierra Madre mountains. I find myself wondering: will they whirl like maple keys do, or dive straight down into a rocky canyon below? Together? Or one at a time? Flip flops were the first questionable choice we made this morning. I am excruciatingly hopeful that this two hour zip lining Canopy River Tours adventure is not the second. Comfortable shoes, said the itinerary for this family adventure. But tween…

Funky Mural in Puerto Vallarta #pvpresstrip #wordlesswednesday
This was a quick tour through a very funky hotel inspired by Frieda Kahlo. It is in the old downtown area not far from the flea markets and the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta. The colours were magnificent and we might not have stopped if not for Raj.

Five Reasons To Visit Puerto Vallarta #pvpresstrip #travel
Until recently I assumed Puerto Vallarta was simply a cruise ship stop. I was so wrong. Puerto Vallarta Mexico is a destination with a rich culture, amazing food and a host of activities for travellers of all sorts. This is another post in my Puerto Vallarta family travel series. This month I visited Puerto Vallarta for the first time ever. I have been to Mexico a few times now. We travelled to Cancun as a family and we toured Chichen Itza a few years ago. I find Mexico to be extremely affordable and enjoyable for family travel. We have also stayed in various other regions of Mexico, some that have very…

The CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta #travel #PVpresstrip
Let’s start at the beginning. I have so much to share about our mother daughter trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. There’s the time my 12-year-old zip lined high above a Mexican canyon of sorts and then rappelled down the side of a mountain and swam with dolphins. But, you will have to wait for that. This is the story of our resort. The place we ate and swam and hung out at the beach and collapsed fast asleep. The CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa, was located less than a ten minute drive from Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport Puerto Vallarta – PVR. The CasaMagna Marriott is between the Sierra…

First Day in Chicago #Blogher13 #travel #health
Day One in Chicago and we celebrated with a Sea Dog Cruise at Navy Pier, hosted by Madame Deals. The architectural and fireworks cruise was a fantastic way to see the night landscape in Chicago and a fun chance to catch up with some blogging friends. I woke up super early and grabbed a taxi to Margarita’s house where I knocked on the door at 4 a.m. and had no answer. Panicking just a wee bit, thinking she left without me, I rang her doorbell and she answered: “I hit snooze.” Half an hour later we were on the highway and shortly after that we crossed the border near Port…

#WordlessWednesday Macao Beach #travel
Earlier this year in Punta Cana, on Macao Beach, Dominican Republic. This was one of the nicest days we had there. Macao ranks highly as one of the top beaches in Punta Cana. I could easily see why. The sand is white, the sky is perfect blue and cloudless and the water is breath-taking. Plus lovely spot to go boogie boarding. You can read about our trip and when budget travel is the wrong choice here.
