The Ultimate Blog Party #UBP13
This is the second year I have taken part in this great event hosted by 5MinutesforMom.com. It’s a fun annual event and a great way to get to meet a few new bloggers, expand your circle and build some connections. So what’s involved, you ask? Well over $20,000 in prizes and a massive group of bloggers who write about various topics: from review bloggers to niche bloggers that focus on special needs. There are Dad bloggers and Mom bloggers and even some parents in waiting bloggers. So, for those taking part in the party who are new to this blog allow me to tell you what thriftymommastips.com is all about.…

What Do Kids Like Better Than Fart Jokes?

So I knew when The Museum in Kitchener had a traveling exhibit called Grossology that my kids would love it. And they did. March Break Madness
Don’t be sad to be in town this March break, there is so much to do in and around the London area, that I am having trouble picking out the best events to hit with the kids on the cheap, of course. I aim to spend less than $100 all week on activities for March break and I am betting this thriftymomma can do it. First off March Break means Sugar bush. There are several around this area. The Kinsmen Fanshawe Sugar Bush is fun with guided tours and pancakes. They have a hotline to check conditions and etc. 519-461-1073Also rumour has it this one is a huge hit: Springwater Maple…

Vancouver’s Coast Plaza
The View From My Window in Vancouver’s Coast Plaza Hotel Downtown near the shore in Vancouver I discovered this gem by accident really and I was very fortunate, so I wanted to pass it on to my readers. While in Vancouver on business at a conference last week I had the good fortune to stay at the Coast Plaza Hotel on Comox Street, near Denman Plaza. The prices were excellent and the variety of rooms plentiful. I understand there are some folks who live here year round inside the Coast Plaza and therefore some of the rooms are the size of small apartments. I was attending a conference at the…
