    Special K Cracker Chips #giveaway

You know how brands are always trying to breed the chip with crackers to make something more healthy than a chip and less boring than a cracker? You know how it never, ever works? The cracker ends up being too much like a cracker still to pass for a chip? Well, my friends this time they got it right. I was lucky to get connected with Kellogg’s at Blissdom last year and they’ve been sending me little prize boxes all year filled with their latest items. I love new cereals and new granola bars and other products, but I was…

Three Mouseketeers meet the Sandwich Generation

My brother and Me. The day he walked me down the aisle. The sibling relationship can be challenging when your role changes to become caregiver to an aging parent. This is one of the many topics that are covered on the Comfort Life web site. We called ourselves the three mouseketeers. My Mom. My Brother. Me. We were always three strands of a braid. We fought, motivated, took care of and and looked out for, each other. Very early on, a piece of our family portrait went missing. You know how trees, when pruned of a broken limb, curl outwards in…

Well here it is Thursday again and one more recipe for kids. Now, I know we’ve done these before, but it’s bake sale season and I couldn’t resist. Wordless Wednesday: Long Weekend Travel–Bubble-licious

We finally got away. It has been a difficult year as my readers know and so when the chance to visit Niagara Falls came up, well I jumped. Not literally. You know what I mean. Fun weekend away meant water slides and reconnecting as a family and disconnecting the devices and phones for a brief time. This was much needed. Time away from all the stresses. Water for my child, with sensory processing disorder, is a huge comfort and a calming tool. She would stay in the wave pool all day, or stand under the giant bucket that dumps water…

Blissdom At Home and My Bliss Experience

Last October I bought a last minute ticket to Blissdom Canada. It was an experience to remember. I still remember sitting in Shes Connected with a great bunch of friends and thinking how inspirational some of the speakers there were and that I really needed to be at the Blissdom Canada conference happening a couple of weeks later. It was sold out, as Blissdom often is, and I wasn’t sure we could afford it. Sponsorship wasn’t an option, because clearly it was too close to the event. And then there was my Mom, who had been really ill all summer.…
