Cooking With Kids–Preserving Memories–#LMDConnector
It’s so very hard to believe that there are only 10 days left until school goes back. A wee bit sad about that. Our time vanished much too fast and yet, there were some very fun times. A week at the cottage. Our first ride on the subway in Toronto. A weekend in Toronto. For me, there was Blogher 12 and a great work trip to New York City. For my kids there was drama camp, riding camp, learning to ride a new bike, visiting Toronto and of course the baby guinea pigs!! My oldest girl got to sleep in a tent, real camping (I am not a camper so…

Chimpanzee Swings onto Blu-ray Combo Pack #Giveaway
One of my favourite movies this year, Disney Nature’s Chimpanzee swings into the stores this week August 21st on Blu-ray Combo pack. So you can bring the story of Oscar home to your little monkeys. I previewed this one months ago and loved it madly. It’s a cinematic masterpiece and the scenery is remarkable. But, most importantly, it is a story of foster care and adoption and I love that. My daughter, 11, enjoyed it a lot. I have one copy to share with a Canadian reader of my blog. Follow the instructions. This is a quick turn around ending Tuesday. Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway

Make Some Memories With Hershey’s S’Mores Kit #Giveaway
What could be sweeter this time of year? A couple of short weeks ago, I attended this tiny affair called Blogher 12. One of the amazing sponsors was Hershey’s and they had this fabulous suite they called Camp Bondfire where we were able to indulge a love of S’mores and sit and relax on the 42nd floor of the Hilton New York City, Avenue of the Americas. It was indulgent and fun and made me crave more S’mores. So, lucky me, when I got home I also received this great gift pack of all you need to make S’mores. I took it up to the cottage this week and oh…

Many families spend a fortune on back to school shopping, often on school supply demands they have little choice about. Thankfully, many states have instituted tax-free shopping periods during the month. Even though this great giveaway ends at the end of August, it could be a welcome relief to three families who have taken advantage of these tax holidays. Meg’s Moxie and Deals From MS Do have teamed up with some other great bloggers and business owners to offer a $25 PayPal…

The Odd Life of Timothy Green – review and party at Blogher
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a movie about infertility, adoption, special needs and a wee bit of magic. You can see why I was literally vibrating with glee in anticipation of seeing it. All the themes I deal with and wrestle down daily. It might be a stretch to call it a brilliantly acted film, but it is entertaining, heart-warming and a bit of an emotional roller coaster as you can see by the trailer. I was fortunate to be invited to the preview in New York City and the after party on a rooftop patio in Manhattan. I have been itching to see this one from the…
