Mary Tyler Moore Moment–#WordlessWednesday #fashion
Hats. My girl loves hats. I adore that she has strong fashion sense already and frankly this little picture was her Mary Tyler Moore moment. I couldn’t resist snapping. For several years I could have sworn this child was fashion dyslexic, but lately she has turned that theory on its head. So Hats off to you! Tiny fashionista. Wordless Wednesday is a hop and a photography meme. Link up at one of the many sites that host the #WW linkys.

Health Warrior Chia Bars: Energy Bar Review and #giveaway (US only)
So what exactly is a Health Warrior Chia seed Bar and how can it keep your exercise, fitness and health regimen on track this holiday season? Chia is an ancient seed once used by the Tarahumara Indians to fuel their bodies. Legend has it they ran barefoot for miles all day long fuelled by Chia seeds. It is a seed that was once important to Aztec and Mayan diets and medicine. A powerful antioxidant, Chia has more Omega 3 fatty acids than salmon, more fibre than oatmeal, more calcium than milk, more protein than tofu and more magnesium than broccoli. Health Warrior’s 100 calorie and 110 calorie Chia bars contain…

Why the PTPA Seal of Approval is Brandtastic–#PTPAinsider
What’s in a seal? When shopping do you really need to look for awards? Seals? Endorsements? Shouldn’t a toy, or children’s product sell itself? Why do I need to look for awards or reviews or even The Parent Tested Parent Approved seal of approval? Why would a brand want or need to submit their toy to the scrutiny of the PTPA testing panel of parents across North America? To answer this question I took a hard look at how I shop as a parent. From the moment I became a parent 11 years ago I was suddenly a savvier consumer than ever before. I was never more conscious of how important…

Personalized Christmas Nightlights–Vizardz Review #PTPAinsider
Turn almost any digital picture into an artistic personalized nightlight. Well, what’s cuter than that? I had the chance to order and personalize a Vizardz nightlight for PTPA recently. Vizardz.com makes it easy to upload and order a cute nightlight for your family. I liked the ability to make this nightlight whatever I wanted. That said, the picture specifications are such that not many of my kid’s pictures worked for the shade part of the light. It has to be a horizontal picture for the photo to look its best and I really had only three pictures in all my files available for use. I really had no idea…

This shopping with kids post was sponsored and I received compensation and product in exchange. Saturday Shopping I spent my Saturday shopping. Oh now before you go getting all jealous, let me just state that we all went shopping. Yes, for whatever reason, we took leave of our senses and headed over to Sears at Masonville Mall in London all together. As a family, shopping. That’s right we went shopping with kids. What Were We Thinking? Yup, big family fun day here at the Schuck house. Winter Coats See, my kids have had crazy growth spurts over the summer and that means their winter coats and snowsuits no longer fit. …

Win My Pretty Playhouse: 100 % Recyclable Playhouse for Children
How do you turn this into… My Pretty Playhouse?Well, you may have a chance to learn for yourself if you enter the giveaway portion of this blog post. First, you should know my kids totally screamed like the girly girls they are: “It’s like Christmas in October!” as I revealed this package from Boutique Cascades. The cool kid’s cardboard playhouse was unexpected. See, every Friday night at our house my daughter has a black belt training program she attends and then we eat dinner and it’s time for another person in my home to head off to martial arts and then, occasionally we scream GIRL’S NIGHT and we do fun…
