This Albert Einstein Bicycle Colouring Sheet is exactly what you need right now. These days, we need a lot of inspiration to keep going. That’s why when I spied this quote by Albert Einstein and this charming Mandala style colouring sheet I had to share. Post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small commission via qualifying links. The sentiment is as relevant as can be right now and always actually. Life is like a bicycle. To Keep Your Balance You Must Keep Moving. Einstein was obviously a genius. And yet, he was also a witty son of a gun.…

This season, I am hunting down easy activities that remind us to find gratitude and give thanks. This Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt is a fun way to find some gratitude and involve the entire family in the process. What are Your Thankful For? Finding Gratitude in the every day and celebrating that can be hard work. I have been working on this during the year and I can tell you some days I succeed and others not so much. This year has tested most of us, I think. Typically, I start my day with a gratitude exercise, but to be very…

It’s a commonly known fact, in my house anyways, that I am surrounded by artistic children. I actually love their creativity. While I am creative, I am not, generally speaking, artistic. These kids can draw and paint and craft all day long. They have always been like this. Forever making, baking and creating things. Right now, as I am finishing this summer drawing challenge post, my daughter is making origami creatures nearby. That’s a good thing right now since there’s nothing much else to do to occupy their time during a pandemic. But, if someone asked me to draw a…

But are we even doing Easter this year? We’ve gone back and forth on this actually, a few times this year. I mean honestly no judgement at all if you are taking it easy and simply getting through. But this week, I did a fair bit of reading and a whole lot of thinking. What would Easter look like in the middle of a pandemic? Would we be doing Easter? Our original plan was to drive to my brother’s home in Toronto. But that was back in February before we’d even heard the term Covid-19. Before spring vacations were cancelled…

A few of you know I am Canadian, born and bred. I have never been more proud to be Canadian than I am right now. Despite a global crisis, I feel like our Prime Minister and Premiers are handling the situation well. It’s not easy and I wouldn’t, even for a million dollars, want their job under the best circumstances. A Little Slice of Canada Have you ever visited Canada? It’s always astonishing to me how many have not been to the Great White North. If you are working on teaching your kids a bit more about Canada right now,…

There’s no denying this has been a tremendously hard week for all. One of the hardest in our history. We had to postpone our family ski trip and March break due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. It was recommended here in Ontario, Canada last week that all travel be stopped, so we followed the health unit and Government of Canada protocols. But, that has not been easy. We are all genuinely disappointed because we had an amazing ski trip to Vermont happening. My younger girl has FASD (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder) and she doesn’t cope with change well at all.…

Happy New Year 2020 to all of you! How did you spend your New Year’s Eve? Last night, we went skiing as a family, well mostly…my one girl went to a friend’s sleepover party and chose to stay there. It’s a New Decade – Welcome to 2020! So the rest of us, the remaining three members of my family, went skiing at Boler Mountain in town here and had a great time together. At 9:30 pm roughly every New Year’s Eve they have a family New Year’s Eve event and we have enjoyed it a few times. Last year, we…

Oh my goodness we have rarely travelled as much as we did together in 2019. Now that ski season is almost here again my youngest daughter keeps asking: “Hey Mom, can we do a trip like we did last season?” Kids Can Reflect on a Fun Year Too! Last season, for your information we took an epic trip of 12 Days, nine to ten of those were straight days of skiing!” Yes, ski season was fantastic this year! I wish we could do an epic trip like that every single year, but it seems unlikely. Sometimes, these trips come together…

It’s closing in on spring, which means the end of ski season. BOO. But the changing season also brings some fun spring road trips. A bit of planning goes a very long way towards making a road trip fun and memorable. Every single time we travelled when the kids were younger we took road trip games like this I Spy Spring Printable and Road Trip Bingo too. Spring I Spy Printable Game Are you heading off on any great road trips this spring? Or are you embracing staycations this year? Either way, you can probably use this cute Spring I Spy…
