Znapeez – My Favourite Teen or Tween Gift of the Year #TMMGG16
Znapeez arrived here a few days ago and we are all loving this crafty toy. This crafty toy is not like anything you have seen before. With this ingenious toy designed for tweens, children can get creative with a snap. It’s designed to be easy to use, easy to create, and hard to put away. Znapeez is easy and fun, and that’s really the ticket when it comes to a gift that keeps the kids excited and engaged. Znapeez – Fashion and Fun for Boys and Girls What I really love about the Znapeez line is its versatility. Nothing is permanent unless they want it to be. Whatever they make comes apart…

Say Good Bye to Stinky Sports Gear #ChurchandDwight #Giveaway
I am a Mom to extremely active girls, who do martial arts, and theatre and horseback riding, track and field and swimming and well, honestly the list seems endless some weeks. Soon we add skating and skiing to the mix. Hallelujah for snow sports. I love them. But what I don’t love is stinky sports gear. The sports gear that comes with each activity can get extremely unpleasant smelling. When we ski we sweat profusely. That’s the sign of a great workout. When Ainsley rides her horse at SARI therapy riding, those nights are stop, drop the clothing in the laundry room immediately, and jump into the shower. The benefits of…

Playing Sports – Leveling the Field for Girls #PlayOnCA #Giveaways $60 ARV
My kids are both athletic young women. Staying physically active, playing sports and striving to do your best – well, that’s something we take to heart as a family. Whether it’s swimming, martial arts or track and field, sports matter to the health of both boys and girls. When kids get out on the field or the court, they learn teamwork, develop a better work ethic, get into better shape, and boost their self confidence. Unfortunately, girls are at a serious disadvantage when it comes to playing sports. With less opportunities and less variety, girls often have to take what they can get. Playtex Sport wants to change that and…

Beat Boredom By Building With K’NEX Mighty Makers #IAmAMightyMaker #Giveaways #TMMGG2015
K’NEX has a great reputation as a quality toy brand with educational potential for boys and girls who like to build. I always see their kits fully built out and tricked out inside toy store windows. I love some of the amusement park constructions and the more elaborate roller coaster builds are incredible. So, when K’NEX invited me to become a member of the K’NEX Blogger Network I was happy to join and test-drive the newest toys. Even I would welcome one of these K’NEX kits to build with. It’s fun for adults too. We received K’NEX Mighty Makers Home Designer kit to get started playing with a couple of weeks…

Martial Arts and Kids #fitness #WordlessWednesday
My girls kick butt. Well, I think they kick butt. Our girls have been taking martial arts for many years now. The daughter on the right hand side started when she was four years old. If you visit this blog often then you know that she has special needs. As a little person, she also had a hip that did not function well. An orthopaedic surgeon at one point indicated to me that she needed extra help with gross motor movements. After she was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, a brain injury sustained from prenatal alcohol exposure, I researched a lot. I took several courses and…

5 Summer Crafts for Tween Girls
Well, school is soon to be out and you know what that means, right? It means chaos, unless you have something planned for the kids several days in a row. I have a tween and a teen and they are super crafty little things. In fact, I have told this story before but the oldest when she was three started preschool almost entirely because of the crafts. It’s true. She wanted to craft all the time and I had run right out of ideas. That was before Pinterest, obviously. So, that and the fact that she was super talkative and starting to read at three and just really needing stimulation,…

Play ON with Playtex Sport Combo Packs – Preparing Your daughter for Her Period #PlayOnContest #PlayOnCa
At our house the activity rarely stops. I have sporty girls. This week my youngest will compete at a track and field meet, swim at swimming lessons, ride her horse at Sari therapy riding program, mentor little ninjas at martial arts and then she will spar, and do her own martial arts lessons. And she will run her little heart out playing with kids in our neighbourhood. And that’s just my one daughter, 11. My older daughter, 13, does most of that, with exception of the therapeutic horseback riding and she acts and sings and dances with a local theatre troupe. My girls and I have been having period conversations…
