Holiday Snacking the Healthy Way with Slammers Giveaway

Holiday snacking is something everyone does. I don’t know about you, but I am stupid busy right now which means my time to prepare nutritious meals and snacks has vanished entirely. The good news though is that healthy snacking doesn’t have to be hard. I’ve found a snack that is perfect for travel, and for busy days running around during the holiday season. Slammers are my go to favourite right now. They are marketed for kids and they are great for in school lunches. But they are also amazing for road trips and holiday travel.


This month we received a shipment of Slammers. Laugh it up all you want. I know these are kid’s snacks but I LOVE them as much or more than the kids do. These fun snack foods in a portable pack are delicious and healthy, a combination I look for often. To me they feel like a smoothie in a small package.

We actually had these with us when we went on our yurt trip this past summer, and they were a big hit. Even I had them for snacks and I couldn’t get enough of them. And let me tell you, they are so good! They make the perfect on the go snack for road trips, after school, or while waiting for that Christmas dinner we all love!

What I love about Slammers is that they’re tasty, healthy, and organic. That means that I can always feel good about giving them to my kids. Their fun flavors make it easy for me to replace things like prepackaged granola bars that are sometimes too high in sugar, or cheesy crackers and fruit flavoured snacks, with a delicious, healthy option WITHOUT a fight from the kids. That’s important to me, because kids WILL fight you, or ignore food entirely if it isn’t something they deem to be super delicious.

I’m a big fan of easy options when it comes to food and food preparation. When the holidays roll around, my already hectic schedule becomes gruelling. It can be rough.
