    November 20, 2018 /

It’s almost ski season and that means it’s almost time to pack for a ski trip. Packing for a ski vacation is easier with a little organization. YOU don’t want to get to your destination missing something vital and then have to buy it or rent it. If you are ready to pack for a…

7 Reasons We Love Vermont Skiing

    October 23, 2018 /

Vermont skiing is our happy place. As you can probably tell from the many posts I’ve done on the subject, we are a family of skiers. My entire family came to this game late. I only learned how to ski in my 40s!! But ever since that first season when we strapped ski boots on and took lessons at Mont Tremblant, we were hooked. We love to get out on the slopes for the day and then return to a cozy, warm room to relax and unwind. We’ve skied in several places but one of our favorite places to ski as a family is Vermont. The slopes and the atmosphere…

My Word of The Year Checkup – February

    February 15, 2018 /

January was a hot mess. Actually maybe not even a HOT mess. Just a mess. But back at the start of January I wrote a post about my word of the year. My word this year is MOVE. So I thought it worthwhile to do a quick word of the year checkup to keep myself accountable to all of you. So here that is – my word of the year checkup. Month one. I am generally good about keeping personal goals. 2017 and mindfulness was the exception to that one. And if you know me at all then you know that I work out a lot and I am pretty…

Mad River Glen – The East Coast’s Most Authentic Ski Experience #IFWTWA

    March 21, 2017 /

We started out twice on the morning we planned to meet up with our host at Mad River Glen. German Flats Road is slippery and winding. One of those mountain roads that you only find in ski states like Vermont, where there are signs dotting the roadway that say Moose Crossing. Clearly, we’re not in London anymore. All along the highway on the way into Vermont I marvelled at the strange winding single lane mountain roads. Our GPS threaded us through the APP Gap, and eventually we made it through to Sugarbush Resort where we stayed. For two days we skied, did lessons and explored the local restaurants and shops. American…

American Flatbread – Rustic Dining in the Heart of Ski Country #IFWTWA

    March 7, 2017 /

With an atmosphere that invites you to relax and unwind while you enjoy their delicious food which features flatbread pizzas, great drinks and spectacular fresh salads, American Flatbread offers visitors a perfect marriage of great, fresh, food in a warm, charming, earthy, environment. American Flatbread – Built on A Belief In the early 80’s, American Flatbread’s founder, built a primitive oven using stone from his land. Wanting bread but not sure if the oven could handle it, he decided to make a flat bread. The bread was so well received that larger ovens followed. This was followed by many…
