“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” – Audrey Hepburn has a lot of great quotes, but this one is my favourite. What could be more worthy of celebrating than love? Lately I’ve been thinking about love. There’s love for your husband or wife, significant other; love of your children, your family, parents, and friends. Love of yourself matters too. We search for it, and sometimes we let it slip through our fingers, but on Valentine’s Day the…

I was a tiny bit late with Christmas cards this year. But I didn’t want to give up on my idea of sending cards out still. Last year I chose Minted.com to make a fun family photo into a business-y post card to send to contacts and former clients. I kind of loved the idea still and wanted to make a business holiday card. In 2014, I think that business postcard was really well received and I enjoyed sending it. There is obvious merit in thanking former clients for their business. It’s nice, classy and it also serves to remind people…

It hit me hard in the card aisle. Grief. Such a sneaky emotion. Tricking you and then hiding behind obstacles in the open. Like a thief hiding behind doors and in alleys waiting to pounce out and holler. Friday was my Mom’s birthday. Way harder than Christmas. Grief Finds You in the Card Aisle One week ago I was standing in the grocery store…
