Bee Mine Valentine’s Math Addition and Subtraction Booklet
What does Valentine’s Math look like? Well, one plus one equals two. Just kidding. Valentine’s Day Themed Addition and Subtraction Booklet I mean Valentine’s Math isn’t much different than any other math, but at the very least it’s a cute little opportunity to sell math practice to your kids. One of mine had zero interest in math for years, so sometimes that meant adding some manipulable toys or tools to help make it tangible, or real. Whatever works sometimes to get them through. I hope you each have a beautiful Valentine’s Day with your family. There sure is a lot to celebrate about February. Valentine’s Day, Family Day, and more.…

Fun Wine Word Search Game
Enjoy this wine word search this week when you have a spare moment. By now, you all know that word searches and word games make me happy as a clam. This stems from all the time that I spent in the hospital with Crohn’s disease as a kid. People would always bring gifts of crossword puzzle books and word search games. The Gift of Words Those were amazing ways to pass the time when sitting there in the hospital unable to get out, go shopping or even go to school. Those word games helped fill the hours. Of course, I also did a lot of writing while on the inside.…

End of Year Journal Activity Booklet
This End of Year Journal Activity booklet is pitch perfect for kids at this time of the year. It serves several purposes. An End of Year Journal can prompt kids to get writing and thinking about the past year. But, to be honest, I love it equally for the fact that a simple journaling activity can also make gratitude real. Gratitude Exercises Even in a year when there didn’t seem like there was much to be grateful for, something can always be found. I believe that and it’s something I am trying to convey to my kids and my readers regularly. I wrote about gratitude way back when at the…

Frog Life Cycle Educational Booklet
When I was a child, I was frog crazy. I don’t know what it was about frogs to tell you the truth. But, perhaps it’s the frog life cycle that was part of the appeal. As a student in elementary school, I used to always opt in to do the assignments featuring tadpoles and frogs. I still remember going to a swamp to gather a few tadpoles for a social sciences project in grade five or six, I think. Tadpoles were always plentiful in swamps and ponds in Guelph It was always fascinating to watch those tadpoles sprout little legs and become full fledged frogs. Kind of miraculous to watch…
